Stewart is an Erhu and Violin teacher with more than 10 years of experience playing in Orchestras. He is taking undergraduate studies of Music at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in Erhu, minoring in Violin.

Aside from obtaining Performance Diploma in Erhu with distinction in the Central Conservatory of Music Examination, he actively participates in a spectrum of music competitions and received numerous awards. Stewart was the winner of the 71st Schools Music Festival-Erhu Senior Class and the 1st runner-up of the 73rd and 75th School Music Festival-Erhu Advanced Class. Stewart was selected to be the Chairman of King’s College Chinese Orchestra in Form 5. Under his leadership, the orchestra won the Gold Award in the Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows and 75th Schools Music Festival.

Besides his major instrument, Stewart is also a violinist who obtained Grade 8 in ABRSM Examination. To inspire and influence others – this is Stewart’s goal throughout his music journey. Besides teaching practical skills in lessons, he allows students delving into the musical world in an amusing way. In addition to teaching traditional exam pieces, Stewart could teach students to perform pop songs in order to arouse their interest in music. He would like to utilize music to inspire his students.
