Mike Wong started to learn music at the age of nine, where he was a brass player in Man Kiu College’s Magic Marching Band. Since 2015 he is a member of The Pegasus Vanguard, learning marching skills and percussion from Eyo Li Yi Ngo.
He started his teaching career in 2016 at different school marching bands in Hong Kong. He represented Hong Kong and The Pegasus Vanguard to join the Drum Corps International 2016 Drumline Battle, where he won Champion of Drumline Battle (International Division).
Mike teaches percussion and drumline in educational institutions including Catholic Ming Yuen Secondary School, Asbury Methodist Primary School, The Church of Christ in China Kei To Secondary School, SKH Tsoi Kung Po Secondary School, S. C. Gaw Memorial College, Chinese Methodist School and LKWFS Lau Tak Yung Memorial Primary School.
Mike has performed with The Pegasus Vanguard in many occasions including Miss Hong Kong 2017, 2018 徐佳瑩是日救星巡迴演唱會香港站, Harbour City Christmas Treasures 2018, 2016-2019 Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade, 2019 鄭秀文FollowMi 世界巡迴演唱會香港站, etc.
