Fay Lam was graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with Bachelor of Arts majoring in Music. Her major instrument was piano and she studied with Ms. Xie Liqun and Ms. Xie Daqun. Fay was the accompanist for the Chung Chi Chorus of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and was also keen to participate in various chamber music sessions.
Fay further continued her studies at The Graduate School of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. She completed the Master’s Degree in Musicology and defended her thesis advised by Prof. Bunkichi Toyama and Prof. Shunichiro Hata. Her main research was music therapy for children with special needs, and her minor musical instrument harp was used as a therapeutic instrument in therapy sessions. Fay is passionate in education for early childhood and special needs children.
